There are some great new photographs of Jon and Julia Dahl's
October wedding, the Ralph and Lois Mullally family on Christmas Eve 2005, and Rube Stimler and his daughters Helen Stimler Lundblad and
Marie Stimler Braun, courtesy of Scott Stimler. Finally, there is a 22-minute Real Media video with footage and narrative by Uncle Spence Stimler
from the 1999 Stimler-Kampa Minnesota reunion entitled "A Journey Home." It includes a tour of the church in St. Augusta
which Father Valentine, Anton Stimmler and John Kaufmann built, and in which
John Kaufmann and Mary Ann Imholte were wed; a tour of the Stimler homes in
Minnesota; footage taken at Lake Julia and St. John's Parish Cemetery in Foley, and scenes from the
Stimler-Kampa family reunion in St. Cloud. It finishes with a brief tribute to family members
who attended the 1999 reunion but who have since passed away. |

In 2003 cousin Margaret Stimmler took a series of photographs of the Stimmler family residence in
Manayunk, Pennsylvania in the 1860s. Johann and Lenaney Stimmler and son Anthony
are listed in the as living at 166 Oak, Manayunk in the 1866 Philadelphia City Directory, and likely lived there earlier than that too.
The cozy, three-story building is made of local micascist stone that has been stuccoed over in intervening years.
Also LoisMarie Okonek has taken
some photographs of various Minneapolis Anderson, Rhoades and Stickney family residences at
1912 Clinton Avenue, 3237 Cedar Avenue,
3649 Elliot Avenue, 3749 Chicago Avenue
(site of Nokomis Theater) and 4233 Sheridan Avenue, Minneapolis.
Included are pictures of St. Stephen's Rectory, where Frank and
Ruby Rhoades Stickney were married in August 1912. We would like to express our deep
appreciation to Margaret and LoisMarie for their fine photography. |
Brothers Pat and Charlie Stimler dug out and reset their Stimler grandparents' sunken footstone at St. John's Cemetery, Foley, Minnesota.
This series of photographs was featured in the most recent SKI News. Thank you very much, Pat and Charlie! |
