St. Paul, MN, 25 Mar. 1893
Dear Wilhelm. Received your letter and herewith a short
reply. We are still very well and hope the same for you. With our legislature, we are
making quite some headway. The term is coming to an end so that we have to put in evening
sessions. It may well take until mid-April. Today, we are at day 64 of the 90 days.
On Saturday nights, I always go home to return on Mondays.
A few days ago, I wrote a letter to
Fa. Specht who wrote to me that he, Terlau....(can't read)
Fuesener all wanted to come to America. Is it really that serious with the case? I am not
doubting him telling the truth, but he could have been joking.
The weather is still quite winterly, but
today, the sun is shining warm and melting the snow. We are still riding the sleds, but
believe by about the middle of April to begin with the sowing. Nature calls for everything
to go pretty speedily, and since that is so, the people have to follow suit.
I have further nothing new and end with many
greetings and a happy Easter, your
Clemens Hünck
