Thanks to the help of Cathy Chambers, there are now biographies for her hustand, Thomas Everett Chambers, Jr. (1961-2017), as well as her maternal grandparents, Leslie Eugene Kampa (1913-1996) and Geraldine "Jeri" F. Kampa (née Rogers) (1922-2018). There also are new biographies for patriarch Nicolaus "Nick" Kampa (1824-1903) and his wife Maria "Mary" Kampa (née Jurczyk) (1824-1898). Katie and Griff Lentsch have shared some more of the outstanding professional photographs of their beautiful August 4th wedding. Finally, there is a 1977 photograph of the flamboyantly talented Frances C. Dingmann (1902-1990).

Katelyn Kampa and Griffin Lentsch were married at The Fitz Place in San Martin, California on Aug. 4, 2018. Their wedding had seven groomsmen and bridesmaids standing with them in the arbor outdoors with a soft warm breeze. The officiating pastor who was well acquainted with mom Lori and bride Katie from years past gave a meaningful charge to the couple before exchange of rings and declaration of marriage.
Please be sure to check out Griffin and Katie's web site http://lentschgetmarried.com/ for the story of their romance, proposal, bridesmaids' and groomsmen's biographies, and much more. The photography is outstanding.
We wish them much happiness and prosperity in their new life together!

Lois Marie O'Konek has completed an incredibly fascinating and detailed research project for her aunt that she would like to share with the extended family regarding the Kampa family emigration, entitled Bremerhaven to Baltimore… and Points West: Our Kampa Ancestors - Arrival and Settlement in the United States, including a comprehensive Timeline with many interesting maps, photographs, and newspaper clippings that give a flavor for what life was like in the time of our ancestors' great journey to the United States. It is an extraordinary achievement and well worth your consideration. Our abundant thanks go out to Lois Marie for her generosity, outstanding analysis of, and investigation into this intriguing historical subject.
Bremerhaven to Baltimore… and Points West

Lois Marie O'Konek has contributed three newspaper clippings from the family files relating to the Washington State landslide that tragically killed some of our Kampa and Balder family members: Known in Benton, Slide Victim Once Lived on Farm at Duelm, and Railway to Pay $35,000 Claims in Flood Deaths. Thanks to the research of Joe Hall, there's some thought-provoking information on Prices for Car Repairs in 1928, and which [since their father was an auto mechanic who at one time worked for Tony Stimler at his garage] circuitously led to new biographies for siblings Dolores Rose Mullen (née Balder) (1921-1969) and Elsie Magdalene Kirchoff (née Balder). There also are new biographies for Catherine F. Stimmler (née Rippert) (1946-2016), Ronald "Ron" John Stimmler (1939-2016), and Bertha Lillian Fawell (née Sheffield) (1890-1962).
