Myrtle was born to James Patrick and Elsie Balder Kane in Foley, Benton, Minnesota
on Dec. 13, 1910. She spent her childhood in Edgar and attended Edgar schools.
She married Raymond J. Schumm in Billings, Montana on Sept. 10, 1927. They spent many years in the Cooke City-Gardiner area as mail carriers. Ray died in January of 1977, at which time Myrtle moved to Edgar to be near her family. Myrtle died Sunday, July 31, 1994 at Aspen Meadows Nursing Home in Montana. She was 84 years old. |
