Adrian Charles Stimmler II, age 37, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on June 7, 2005. He was born on September 20, 1967 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Adrian graduated Arch Bishop Kennedy Catholic High School in 1985 and attended Temple University from 1990 to 1994. He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force from 1986 to 1990.
Adrian is survived by his wife, DeAnn Stimmler; daughter, Alexandra (Lexi) Stimmler; son, Adrian Stimmler III; parents, Adrian and Catherine Stimmler; brother, Greg Stimmler (Joyce); sister, Jeanine Miller (Erik); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held 6-8PM, Tuesday, June 14 at Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500  E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale with a Rosary at 8PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, June 15 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 32648 N. Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stimmler Family at Compass Bank.
We extend our most profound sympathy to the Stimmlers and the children in this time of great sorrow.

Philip E. Dingmann passed away April 29, 2005 in Minnesota. He was 84 years old.
He was born December 16, 1920 in Minnesota, the eldest child of Joseph Henry and Hilda (Bisemius) Dingmann, and eldest grandchild of Edward Henry and Sophia Theresa Dingmann (née Stimmler).
Prior to late 1941, Philip was a trumpet player in the 217th Regiment of the St. Cloud, Minnesota National Guards. During World War II, the 217th Regiment was the Post Band at The Presidio in San Francisco, California. Philip married Agnes Winifred McCarthy and they had five children. Agnes passed away on December 27, 1993.
Phil is survived by his children, Susan Elizabeth, Daniel Joseph and his wife Jennifer, Philip Anthony, Patrick John and Peter Michael Dingmann, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Agnes, and brothers Joseph Henry "Jay" Dingmann Jr. and Daniel Dingmann.
There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Monday, May 2nd at The Church of The Ascension, 18th and Bryant Avenues in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.


Lynette Panott (née Greenwood) has shared some Spring 2005 photographs of her and her husband William's adorable daughter, Gianna Rose, and her family. Gianna is such a cutie! Thank you very much, Lynette and William!

Cousin Scott Stimler has discovered some interesting information about Napoleon's hussars to which ancestor Johann Stimmler (1791-1870) belonged. This historical information has been added to the Stimmler/Stimler Family History at this link. Thank you, Scott, for discovering these facts of interest to the family.

Ray Greenwood has located a fascinating biographical sketch, examples of artwork and interview clips of his very talented sister, Gretchen Weber (née Greenwood), that were done by the Iowa Women Artists Oral History Project. Gretchen was interviewed on March 31, 1999. It's wonderful to hear her describe her early influences, artwork and her advice to young artists in her own voice, while looking at examples of her beautiful artistic creations enhanced by moving poetry brought to life with her spirited calligraphy. Thank you so much, Ray, for alerting us to this cool multimedia biography of your sister, Gretchen!

Christian Chandler, Sherry Rodgers (née Stimler)'s eldest son, became the proud father of a baby girl on March 21, 2005. Her name is Emma June Marie Chandler, named after her grand and great-grandmothers. Christian has his own web site: www.chandlerchannel.com. It has pictures of Emma and her family plus many shots of her adoring grandmother, Sherry, and of course, of her doting great-grandfather, Spence Stimler. Be sure to check it out!

Thanks to Connie Balder Mickolajak's research, there's now a biography of Raymond Ellsworth Balder. There's also an update to Norbert Balder's biography that includes his military service record. Thank you, Connie!
In addition, we appreciate that Dana Stimler has kindly contributed her census research on Bernhard "Barney" Winkelman and some on his son, Frank J. Winkelman. Also posted is a biography for Edith Lucille Vogtlin (née Balder), great-granduncle, Dr. Herbert H. Hodgson, and cousin, Sharon Lee Stimmler (née Anderson).

Max Leonard Stimmler passed away February 10, 2005 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, Minnesota. He was 86 years old.
He was born February 14, 1918 in Clear Lake, Minn. to Max John and Hattie (Ebner) Stimmler. Max grew up and attended school in Clear Lake. He married Dora Fischer on July 1, 1941 in Minneapolis. They made their home in Elk River and Max farmed and worked at the Princeton Coop Creamery, the Elk River Feed Mill and also did carpentry work on the side. When they moved to Milaca in 1971, he worked at Smith Systems in Princeton. Max enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening and his pets. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Max is survived by his wife, Dora of Milaca; children, Maxine Spears of Walker, Minn., Julene and husband Everett Warren of Milaca, Leonard Stimmler of Cambridge, Max and wife Carol of Elk River and Darryl and wife Mary of Milaca; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sister, Hattie Mae Engstrom of Eagan; and brother, Harvey Stimmler of Texas; also by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl; sisters, Irene and a sister in infancy; daughter-in-law, Sharon Stimmler; and son-in-law, Jim Spears.

Eugene David Kampa 1922-2004
Bob and Lori Kampa have created a moving tribute to Bob's dad Gene Kampa which was shown during his memorial service this past January. We truly appreciate Bob's and Lori's beautiful presentation which highlights Gene's life and love for family. There also is a wonderful photograph of Gene and June Kampa (née Fawell)'s wedding with little four-year-old Dick Kampa as the ringbearer. Thank you with all our hearts.

Louise Kirkpatrick (née Kampa) has shared a letter she wrote to her sister Frances Windhurst (née Kampa) on February 28, 1938. In it she recounts how her younger brother Gene left home and family life with her dad and sister Dorothy in Claremont, Minnesota during the Depression. We greatly appreciate Louise sharing this historical treasure with us all. In addition to Louise's letter, there also is a letter dated June 5, 1996 from Diane Stimler (née Anderson) to Leon Bordua upon the death of his mother, Helen.

'No Silver Spoon' by Spencer Stimler 
Uncle Spence Stimler has had a book published by Tigress Press in Columbia, MO based upon his early childhood and being raised in a small town in southern Minnesota during the Great Depression. The book is titled No Silver Spoon. For those who would like a copy, the author can mail an autographed copy to you. Upon receipt, just mail him a check for $12. Cousin Robert Mullally has kindly sent us some documentation on our ancestors, including Sophia Stimmler's birth certificate and death certificates for her father Anthony John Stimmler and her grandfather, patriarch John Stimmler. Thank you very much, Bob, for sharing this with the extended family group.


Lynette Panott (née Greenwood), the great-granddaughter of Ernest and Clara Greenwood (née Kampa), has shared some photographs of her lovely family. Lynette even has the same birthday as her great-grandfather Ernest. Thank you so much, Lynette!

In addition, there is new census information on siblings Ruby Edna Rhoades and Charles Alfred Rhoades, and their parents Blucher Wellington and Mary Catherine Rhoades (née Seibert). There also is the long-sought 1902 Fargo, South Dakota Marriage License and Certificate of Marriage for James S. Anderson and Maud G. Hodgson, in addition to biographies for Maud's parents, Rev. John Hodgson and Elizabeth Hodgson (née Gee), as well as her maternal uncles, Rev. Daniel E. F. Gee and Rev. Thomas Gee.
