Anne Geraldine Greenwood was born to Marsha Frances Durick Greenwood and
Raymond James Greenwood Jr. in Jamestown, North Dakota on June 1, 1967. She graduated
from Jamestown High School in 1985 and Moorehead State University, Moorehead, Minnesota
in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art and photography. After graduation Anne moved to
Portland, Oregon where she was employed as a horticulturist and artist, subsequently developing
these interests into a private landscaping and gardening business. For more than 12 years, Anne
also has been involved with Ariadne, a community supported organic gardening project enrolled
in the Oregon Sustainable Agriculture Land Trust. This nonprofit inner city garden project that
has supported up to 10 families annually and now is open to the community as a u-pick garden,
emphasizes the benefits of locally raised highly nutritious foods to family health.
Anne married Mauricio German Rioseco in Portland on September 27, 1997. She and Mauricio have two daughters, Eva and Lucia. Mauricio, a craftsman, manufactures fine furniture, cabinets, and other high-end wood products in his private shop. |
