He was attending school at the time. His father was working as a farmer. His dad stated that he and Raymond's mother were married
when they both were 22 years old. The family did not own a radio [Source:

At the time of his mother's death in 1958, Raymond was living in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Raymond married Lucille Irene Brown Urness in 1960 and they had a son, Raymond Ellsworth Jr. on June 28, 1962 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Raymond died on October 20, 1976 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in South Minneapolis, Minnesota in Section T, Site 3425. |
