At the time of the 1851 Canadian Census, Daniel was 13 years old and living with his parents and seven siblings in Pickering, Ontario South, Ontario, Canada. His religion was stated to be Bible Christian [Source: 1851 Canadian Census, FHL Canadian Census Film # 0349229, E.D. 12, p. 145, Lines 26-35].
 
At the time of the 1861 Canadian Census, Daniel was 22 years old and living with his parents and 6 siblings in Pickering, Ontario South, Ontario, Canada. His religion was listed as Wesleyan Methodist [Source: 1861 Canadian Census, FHL Canadian Census Film #0349303, ED 3, Page 38, Lines 11-19].
 
In 1868 Rev. Daniel Gee was living in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada.
 
At the time of the 1871 Canadian Census, Rev. Daniel Gee was 31 years old and living in York County, Ontario, Canada. He stated he was born in Canada and his family was of English origin. His religion was Wesleyan Methodist and his occupation was minister.
 
At the time of the 1881 Canadian Census, Rev. Daniel Gee was 41 years old and living with wife Elvira and their 5 children in Collingwood, Grey East, Ontario, Canada. He was working as a Minister of the Gospel [Source: 1881 Canadian Census, FHL Canadian Census Film #1375897, District 155, Sub-district B, Division 1, Page 53, Household Number 258].
 
On June 11, 1892 the Manitoba Daily Free Press (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) stated:
"The following district representatives on several committees were reported:
Statistical Committee:
Ministers, S.E. Cowill, J. Dyke, W. Bridgeman, T.C. Buchanan, J.H.L. Joslyn, Gee, Daniel, J.J. Crookshanks, T.B. Wilson, J.W. Dickenson and G.W. Dean.
Layman, W.D. Pettigrew, W.D. Ruttan, Thos. Morrow, J.M. Fee, J.C. Gallagher, Henry Rose, Robert Hall, J.J. Young, and A.F. Grady."
On May 17, 1895 the Manitoba Morning Free Press (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) reported:
"Sunday Services
9 June - Methodist Church, 11 am, Rev. J.M. Harrison; 2:30 pm, Sunday School addresses Rev. W. Sommerville, and Neepawa district representative; 7 pm, Rev. Gee, Daniel."  

Over a 25-year period of ministry, Rev. Gee worked successively in the following towns in in Ontario, Canada: Stouffville, Alliston, Bondhead, Aurora, Thornsbury, Norwood, Millbrook, Trenton and Newcastle. He was successful in church and parsonage building and improvement. On many of the circuits where he labored, there are standing today beautiful and commodious church edifices.
 
He died at 3 o'clock Monday morning, February 6, 1893 at the age of 55.
