Notes: At the time of the May 25, 1940 U.S. Federal census, Dorothy was 22 years old, single, and living with her parents and five siblings on
  Centerville Rd. in White Bear Township, Ramsey, Minnesota. The family had been living in the same place on Apr. 1, 1935. Her 43-year-old father Clifford was working as a bartender for the fair grounds, employed for 48 weeks in 1939 and earning $1,100 (although he had income from other sources). He had an 8th grade education. Seventeen-year-old brother Lee also had an 8th grade education and was a new worker in the work force. Dorothy was occupied at home. Brother William (age 15) was in his first year of high school; 13-year-old Robert was in the 8th grade, and 7-year-old sister Beverly was in the 2nd grade. Five-year-old sister Jane was still too young to attend school.
 
In 1949 Don and Dorothy were living at 4317 Charles in Omaha, Nebraska. Husband Don was working as a salesman. Dorothy was 31 years old.
