At the time of the Apr. 24, 1940 U.S. Federal Census, Dolores was 18 years old and living with her parents and two siblings in the family home valued at $1,500 in St. George Township, Benton, Minnesota. She was single and working as a maid at the State Teaching College. Her father owned his own garage.

Before her marriage, Dolores worked at Dayton's in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
 
Dolores died at the Platt County Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 3, 1969 in Wheatland, Wyoming. Her funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 6 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wheatland, with burial in the Wheatland Cemetery. She was 48 years old.
