"Mrs. Mary Stimler 75,
a resident of Foley for the past 50 years died Friday, January 21st at the Saint Cloud hospital.
"The former Mary Kampa, she was born at Duelm,
March 23, 1879 and was married there to A. V. Stimler
May 10, 1897. She moved to Foley in 1904 and made her home here since. Mr. Stimler died in
1936.
"Deceased was a member of the Christian Mother's and Holy
Rosary Societies of the St. John's Catholic church of Foley, the Royal Neighbor lodge, and the Women's
Catholic Order of Foresters.
"Eight children survive. There are:
Rupert of Wayzata; Mrs. Alvin Hamer
(Alma), of Excelsior; Mrs. Florence Sauer,
Mrs. John E. Parent (Marie) of Foley;
Mrs. Jack Olsen (Leona) of Little Falls;
Joseph of Waite Park; and Mrs. Don Hall
(Ann) and Mrs. Mervin Bartek (Delores) of Omaha, Neb.
"A daughter, Mrs. Emil Parent
(Helen) died in 1926. There are 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
"Brothers and sisters surviving are: Charles Kampa
of Detroit, Edward Kampa of Pasco, Washington; Mrs. William Dore
and Mrs. Roy Latterell of Foley; Mrs. E. A. Greenwood
of Bismark, North Dakota; William Kampa of Belleforche, South Dakota;
Mrs. R. C. Swanson of St. Paul; and Louis Kampa of Duelm.
"Funeral services were held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the
St. John's Catholic church with Rev. Richard Wey officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
"Pallbearers were Joseph and William Kotsmith, Joseph Bolagek,
D. V. Murphy, Jack Lloyd and Richard Bronder."
