Notes: At the time of the July 9, 1895 Minnesota state census "Eddie" was 14 years old and living with his parents and nine
  siblings on the family farm in St. George Township, Benton, Minnesota. He said he had been living there all his life, and that both his parents were of foreign birth.
 
On Sept. 12, 1918, Edward was working as a laborer on a farm owned by J. E. McKinney in Valley County, Montana. He was married, 37 years old, of medium height, medium build, with light complexion, blue eyes, and dark brown hair.
 
On Jan. 20, 1920, Edward was 39 years old and living with his wife Margaret and their three children, along with his mother-in-law Mary Sullivan and her three children in Foley, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a barber.
 
On April 2, 1930, Edward was 49 years old and living with his wife Margaret I. and their five children in their own home worth $3000 at 37 Jodie St., Block Three, Marble, Itasca, Minnesota. The family owned a radio. Ed was working as a barber in his own shop.
 
At the time of the Apr. 16, 1940 U.S. federal census, Edward was 59 years old and living with his wife Margaret and their three youngest children in their own home worth $2,000 on Alice St. in Marble, Itasca, Minnesota. All had been living in the same place as of Apr. 1, 1935. Both he and his wife had completed the 8th grade; 24-year-old daughter Hazel had graduated from a four-year college; 22-year-old daughter Rose had completed one year of college; and 19-year-old son Bernard had graduated from high school at the time. Rose and Bernard were still attending school. Edward was working 60 hours a week as a barber in his own shop. Daughter Hazel worked 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year as a stenographer in a lawyer's office, earning $900 in 1939.
 
Edward's final residence was in Washington state. He died on Feb. 16, 1963 at the age of 82.
