At the time of the July 9, 1895 Minnesota state census Pauline was 6 years old and living with her parents and nine siblings on the family farm in St. George Township, Benton Co. MN. Pauline had been living there all her life, and both her parents were of foreign birth.

(Don Kampa's memories of Pauline Robinson:) "When we came back to the folks place afterwards, [Aunt Pauline], who was a very good cook, had made some food. She was great for desserts. I think she had pie with whipped cream that night.

"That was the first of quite a few experiences at my aunt's place. She was a fantastic cook. In those days I could eat about enough for two people. She would prepare the food and keep it coming at me. Then she would laugh when I'd take another helping. She thought it was funny and liked to see me eat. She's shove pie at me. She'd have a quarter of a pie of one kind, and a quarter of a pie of another kind, and I was equal to the task. She would sit back and watch me eat and laugh."

(Marge Randall's memories of Sherman Robinson): "[H]e was a peach of a guy - I really liked him."

In 1930, Pauline was living with her husband Sherman at 370 Jenks Avenue in St. Paul, MN. Sherman was working as an air brake fitter for the Great Northern Railway at the time.
