Harry was born in Roscoe, MN, the first son of Ernest and Clara Greenwood on February 8, 1906.
He attended St. John's Academy High School in Jamestown, ND and graduated from St. John's.
Harry worked as a warehouse foreman for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member
of the North Dakota National Guard. He was an avid hunter and gardener. His garden usually
had 50 or 60 rose bushes blooming in it every summer. Harry started swimming in his 60's and
was still swimming two to three times a week at the age of 93. At 97, he was a resident of
The Baptist Home in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Harry passed away on December 30, 2004 at a Bismarck care center. He was 98 years old. |
