Harry Wilfred Greenwood was born February 8, 1906, at Roscoe, Minn., the son of Ernest Alfred and
Clara Julia (Kampa) Greenwood. In Harry's early childhood, they moved to Jamestown, where Harry
graduated from Jamestown High School in 1924. Harry married Margaret Mary Barrett August 3,
1935, at Bismarck. Harry was employed by Burlington Northern Rail Road as a warehouse foreman for over
40 years. He was a member of the North Dakota National Guard and enjoyed swimming at the YMCA into
his 90's. He also enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Harry is survived by his daughters, Mary Claire Greenwood, Edina, Minnesota, and Jane (Marvin)
Loper, Maple Grove, Minn.; his granddaughters, Lynette (William) Panzott, Austintown, Ohio, and
Connie Greenwood, Eugene, Oregon; his great-granddaughters, Gianna Panzott, Austintown, and
Kylie Greenwood, Eugene; and nieces and nephews, Raymond Greenwood and Angela Seitz,
Jamestown, Martha Spaans, East Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kenneth Joos, Gayle Brennicke and
Gretchen Weber, all of Ames, Iowa, and Karen Smith, Jupiter, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his son, James R. Greenwood; a brother,
Ray Greenwood; and a sister, Inez Joos.
