His father was working as a retail merchant in a hardware store. At the time of the Jan. 30, 1920 U.S. federal census, Aloysius was 18 years old and living with his parents and ten siblings in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. He was working as a salesman in a hardware store. His father was working as a farmer in general farming. Two of his elder brothers were salesmen in a grocery store, and another was a farm laborer working out. At the time of the April 14, 1930 U.S. federal census, Aloysius T. was 28 years old and living with his wife Gladys E., their four children, his brother Carl, and three lodgers in his own home worth $7,000 Grand Rapids, Itasca, Minnesota. The family had a radio. Al was working as an undertaker in general practice. Al died Dec. 27, 1974 in Hennepin County, Minnesota at the age of 73. |
