At the time of the June 1, 1900 U.S. federal census, Adolph was 1 year old and living with his parents,
six siblings, Joseph L. Kampa (age 24), uncle Paul W. Stimmler
(age 20), and Matilda Sakry (age 18) in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. His father was working as a blacksmith.
At the time of the Apr. 15, 1910 U.S. federal census, Adolph was 11 years old and living with his parents and 12 siblings in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. He was attending school at the time. His father was working as a retail merchant of a hardware store. On Sept. 12, 1918, Adolph was 19 years old, single and a student of the University of Minnesota living at Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. He was of medium height and build, with blue eyes and light hair. Adolph was a veteran of World War I living in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota in August of 1919. At the time of the Jan. 29, 1920 U.S. federal census, Adolph was 21 years old and living with his parents and ten siblings in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. He was working as a salesman in a grocery store as were his brothers William and Aloysius (but in a hardware store) and his brother Jerome was a farm laborer working out. At the time of the Apr. 3, 1930 U.S. federal census, Adolph was 31 years old, single, and living alone in an apartment he rented for $55 a month at 3636 Summit St., Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri. He was working as a manager of a restaurant. Adolph died June 8, 1979 in Los Angeles County, California. He was 80 years old. |
