In the 1885 Minnesota census Rose was living in Clear Lake
Township with her parents and siblings. At the time of the April 23, 1910 U.S. Federal Census, Rose was 29 years old and living with her husband William A., their son Harold and a servant, Sophie (Haaf?), single and age 20 at 523 Eighth Ave. S., St. Cloud, Stearns County, Minnesota. Her husband was working as a road contractor. Rose stated that she and William had been married five years and that she was the mother of one child who was still living. She said that she was born in Minnesota, her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Ohio [Source: 1910 U.S. Federal Census, St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota, E.D. 154, p. 8A]. On Sept. 10, 1918 Rose and William were living at 523 8th Avenue South in St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota. William was working as a road contractor. On Jan. 8, 1920 Rose and William and their two children were living at 523 8th Avenue South in St. Cloud, Stearns, Minnesota. William was working as a railroad contractor. In later years, Rose was very alert but disabled from bad legs. She died in Stearns County, Minnesota May 16, 1979. She was 98 years old. |
