"Death called Mrs. Emil Parent
to her reward after a severe case of pneumonia which lasted for nearly two weeks. After a
very hard spell she began to improve the latter part of last week and all was well until a
relapse set in which culminated in her death early Saturday morning at 4:40.
"Deceased was the oldest daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Stimler
of this place. She was 24 years of age at the time of her death. She was born in Duelm
and lived practically all of her life in Foley. She attended school here and grew up with the
young people of this place and was very well liked in the community. In the winter of 1918-1919
she attended business college in St. Paul and after the completion of her course she
accepted a position in the office of her father's garage here where she was employed for about
three years. During her work there she proved to be a very efficient bookkeeper and was a very
creditable asset to the business. In 1922 she was united in marriage to Emil Parent, who is the
local agent for the Northwestern Oil Company. Three children were born to this union, all of
whom died in infancy.
"She is survived by her husband, her parents,
six sisters and two brothers.
"Funeral services were held from the Catholic
church Monday morning with burial in the Foley cemetery.
"Out of town relatives and friends who arrived to
attend the funeral were Mrs. Sherman Robinson of St. Paul;

Mrs. Paul Stimmler of Clear Lake;
Joe Schaaf and son of Benson; Mr. and Mrs. Argfield Wilaua
of Crosby; Miss Susie Wegbeighter of St. Paul; Mr.
and Mrs. George Stimler and family of Clear Lake;
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Arnold of Clear Lake; Mr.
