"Miss Anabelle Brockman daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Brockman,
became the bride of Raymond James Greenwood, son of Mr.
and Mrs. E. A. Greenwood of Bismarck, at a nuptial mass this morning at
St. James Catholic church. Rev. Edward Geraghty read the marriage service.
"Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. L. B. Niemeyer, organist, played the "Handel Largo" from "The New World Symphony."
As the bridal party approached the altar she played the Processional from Lohengrin, and during the ceremony the "Moonlight
Sonata" by Beethoven.
"Mrs. William T. Smith, who attended her sister as bridesmaid, wore almond pink dotted organdy made
sleeveless with a tailored neckline and a bias flounce skirt, floor length. Her sash was of blue taffeta, and her hat and
gloves, white. She carried Johanna Hill roses and larkspur. Harry Greenwood
attended his brother.
"The bride's gown was a Period model of white net, fashioned floor length with tiny ruffles adorning the skirt, and
similar ruffles forming cap sleeves. The waistline was marked by a white taffeta sash. She wore a white taffeta Breton cap
and carried gardenias.
"Following the ceremony, a breakfast for the immediate families was served at
the Gladstone hotel.
"Mr. and Mrs. Greenwood left for
a trip to northern Minnesota and the lake region. For travelling, Mrs. Greenwood is wearing a suit of navy blue wool voile
trimmed with white pique, and navy blue hat.
"The bride and groom are graduates of St. John's Academy. Mrs. Greenwood attended the American Conservatory of
Music and the Chicago Art Institute, Chicago. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, music fraternity.
"Mr. Greenwood is a graduate of North Dakota State College, Fargo, and a
member of the Alpha Tau Omega and Blue Key fraternities.
"After September 1st they will be at home at Medina where Mr. Greenwood will be principal of
Medina high school.
"Out-of-town guests at the wedding included the groom's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. E. A. Greenwood, Mrs. Ray Joos,
Harry Greenwood, Miss Margaret Barrett, and Mrs. H. E. Fowler
of Bismarck. Mrs. and Mrs. W. E. Buckwalter and Mr. and Mrs. Howard J. Conlin of Medina,
Mrs. Knute Henning of Fargo and Mrs. Carl H. Johnson of Chicago."
