St. George Pioneer Dies at Home of Son on Monday Afternoon.

"Funeral services for Edward Balder, for 35 years a resident of St. George [Township], will take place Thursday morning, October 4, at 10:00 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church. Rev. J. Bielejeski officiating. Internment will be in the church cemetery.
"Mr. Balder, who has been living with his son Ellsworth, has been ailing for some time, but death followed a cerebral hemorrhage on Monday, October 1, at 4:30 p.m. He was born in Germany on December 13, 1856* and at the time of his death he was 77 years, 9 months and 18 days old.
"Surviving, besides Mrs. Balder, are the following children: Frank and Otto of Foley, Reuben, Montana; Mrs. John Abfalter, Mrs. Joseph Brambrink, and Mrs. Frank Winkleman, Duelm, Mrs. [Irvin Laughery] and Mrs. James Kane, Montana.
"Pallbearers at the funeral, sons and sons-in-law of the deceased, will be as follows: Ellsworth, Frank and Otto Balder, Joseph Brambrink, Frank Winkleman, and [a nephew] Gilbert Abfalter."

* Note:  This birth date is incorrect. Edward actually was born on December 13, 1858, so was 75 years, 9 months and 18 days old at the time of his death.
