Jim Balder talks about his grandmother Catherine: "[T]his is a picture of Katherine on her 80th birthday taken on the porch of her little house that she had in Foley in her later years. I was at the party when this was taken. I was a very young boy and remember how fascinated I was with the legs of the table her cake was on. My mother had a copy of this picture that I had seen when I was very young. I don't know who has the picture now. The house where she lived has been torn down many years ago." -- from a December 19, 2001 e-mail to Martin Holz

-- from a December 19, 2001 e-mail to Martin Holz
