"Mrs. Catherine Balder,
formerly of Foley, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at the home of her son, Otto, at Hillman.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed."
"Mrs. Catherine Balder, , Thursday at the age
formerly of Foley, died at the home of her son, Otto Balder at Hillman, Thursday at the age
of 82 years. She was the daughter of the deceased Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Voerding.
"Her marriage to Edward Balder
took place in Duelm 67 years ago. Mr. Balder is deceased.
"Surviving her are the following children:
Mrs. John Siscely, Foley; Frank, Minden; Mrs. Irvin Laughery, Billings,
Montana; Mrs. James Kane, Pyror, Mont.; Ellsworth,
St. George; Rueben, Harrah, Wash.; Otto, Hillman; Mrs. Joseph Brambrink, Foley;
and Mrs. Frank Winkelman, Santiago.
"There are 49 grandchildren and 28 great
grandchildren.
"The body is at the home of her son,
Ellsworth Balder in St. George. Funeral
services will be held in St. Patrick's Church in Minden at 10 a.m. Monday with
Rev. Ferdinand Falque officiating. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery."
