"Mrs. Catherine Balder,
for many years a resident of St. George Township passed away at the home of her son Otto in Leigh
Township, Morrison County Thursday, June 3rd at 5:20 P. M. at the age of 82 years,
10 months and 26 days. Mrs. Balder was born in St. Wendel.
"At the age of 5 years she moved with her
parents to St. George Township and was married there 66 years ago. She has resided
there until 16 years ago when she moved to Foley where she made her home until 4-1/2 months
ago, when she lived with her son Otto in Morrison County.
"Surviving her are the following children:
Mrs. Jack Siscely, Foley, Frank of Minden, Mrs. Irvin Laughery of Fromberg,
Montana, Mrs. James Kane of Pyror, Montana, Ellsworth
of St. George, Reuben, Harrah, Washington, Otto of Hillman, Mrs. Joe Brambrink of
Glendorado, Mrs. Frank Winkelman of Santiago. One brother, Matt Voerding, Minneapolis
also survives.
"Funeral services were held at 10:00 A. M.
Monday June 7th at St. Patrick's Church with Rev. Falque officiating. Burial was
made in the St. Patrick's cemetery."
