| At the time of the June 4, 1900 U.S. federal census, Valentin was 78 years old and living with his 68-year-old wife, Agnes, their 29-year-old son Valentine, his wife Mary and a servant, Albert Luzlok, on a farm in Graham, Benton, Minnesota. Valentin and Agnes had been married for 50 years. Valentin was working as a farm laborer on his son Valentin's farm. At the time of the June 14, 1905 Minnesota state census, Valentin was 83 years old and living with his 78-year-old wife, Agnes, their son Valentine, daughter-in-law Mary, and two adopted grandchildren, Bennie and Tracy, on R.F.D. 2 in Buckman, Morrison, Minnesota. At the time of the Apr. 18, 1910 U.S. census, Valentin was widowed, 88 years old and living with his 39-year-old son Valentin, Valentin's 31-year-old wife Mary, and their adopted children, Bernard (age 13) and Tracy Kampa (age 9) at 25 6th St. SE in Saint Cloud Ward 6, Benton, Minnesota. His son was working as a stone mason. Valentin died "of old age and complications" on June 22, 1913 at his son Valentin's home on 18th Avenue NE in Saint Cloud, Benton, Minnesota. He was 90 years old. |
