Notes:At the time of the 1885 Minnesota state census, Mary was 26 years
old and living with her husband Mathias, their three children, and his
brother George and Michael Adelman plus Michael's wife Frunica
and their two children in St. George Township, Benton County, MN.
She stated that she was born in Germany and that her mother and
father were of foreign birth.
At the time of the July 5, 1895 Minnesota state census, Mary was
36 years old and living with her husband Mathias and their six children
in St. George township. She stated that she was born in Germany and
that both her parents were of foreign birth. She said she had been living
in the state of Minnesota for 25 years, and had been a resident of this
enumeration district for all 25 of those years.
At the time of the April 27, 1910 federal census, Mary was 56 years old
and living with her husband Matt, their four children and a boarder,
Lillian Mohan (age 19), a school teacher at the public school, on the
family farm in St. George Twp., Benton Co., MN. Mary stated she was
born in German Poland of German Polish parents. Matt and Mary had
been married 30 years, and were the parents of 7 children all of whom
were still living.
