| Notes: | After their marriage Joseph and Rose farmed on what is known as the Chris Schmidt farm approximately 5 miles northwest of Duelm. In approximately 1932, they moved to the |
| farm known
as the Ken Winkelman farm, approximately 3 miles northwest
of Duelm.
At the time of the April 2, 1930 census, Joseph was 28 years old and living with his father John, wife Rose and their five children on the family farm in St. George Township; they did not own a radio. Joseph stated that he and Rose were married when they were both 20 years old, and that his mother was born in Minnesota. An older brother, Ambrose, lived on his own farm next door. In mid-1947 Joseph, Rose and William moved to 6th Place SW in White Center Heights, Seattle, Washington. In mid-1948 they moved to the South Park area of Seattle. Rose passed away in a Seattle hospital while a resident of South Park. Joseph continued to reside in the South Park area with at least four different residences until his death in January 1955. He passed away in his trailer house beside the Duwamish River in South Park. |
