At the time of the April 2, 1930 census, Leonard was a little over a year old and living with his paternal grandfather John, his parents and four older siblings on the family farm in St. George Township; they did not own a radio. His mother Rose told the census enumerator that she and her husband were married when they were both 20 years old. Leonard's Uncle Ambrose lived on his own farm next door. In approximately 1932, the family moved to the farm known as the Ken Winkelman farm, approximately 3 miles northwest of Duelm. In 1992 Leonard was living at 2411 East Calhoun Street in Seattle, King, Washington. Leonard died in Seattle, King, Washington on May 21, 1999 at the age of 70. |
