 At the time of the 1930 U.S. Federal Census, Dorothy was 5 years old and living with her paternal grandfather,
  John Pollard, her parents, four siblings, and uncle Ambrose Pollard on her grandfather's farm in District 15 of St. George, Benton, Minnesota. Her grandfather, father and uncle were all farmers.
 
In 1988 Dorothy and her husband Edwin Swalboski were living at 604 White Street SE in Watertown, Carver, Minnesota.
 
Dorothy continued to live in Watertown after the death of her husband on Christmas Day, 1993.
 
Dorothy died on July 22, 2010 at the Grandview Care Center in St. Peter, Nicollet, Minnesota after a long decline in health. She was 84 years old.
