Notes: Henry immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1884 when he was a young man of 17. He was a prominent and successful farmer in Benton County, Minnesota for
  many years.
 
At the time of the July 5, 1895 Minnesota state census, Henry was 27 years old and living with his wife wife Josephine and son Elmer in St. George, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a farmer.
 
At the time of the June 10, 1900 U.S. federal census, Henry was 32 years old, widowed and living by himself on his farm in St. George, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a farmer.
 
At the time of the June 2, 1905 Minnesota state census, Henry was 37 years old and living with his second wife Frances and his daughters, Theresia and Adeline, on the family farm in St. George, Benton, Minnesota.
 
At the time of the Apr. 28, 1910 U.S. federal census, Henry was 42 years old and living with his wife Frances (age 48) and daughters Teressia (age 11) and Adeline (age 8) in District 10, St. George, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a farmer in general farming. He stated that he immigrated to the United States in 1883 and was a naturalized citizen. Henry and Frances said they had been married for 15 years.
 
At the time of the Jan. 20, 1920 U.S. federal census, Henry was 52 years old and living with his wife Frances and their two daughers on the family farm in Saint George, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a farmer in general farming.
 
His health had been failing over the last winter when Henry died suddenly of stomach cancer at his home in St. George on Jan. 17, 1921, aged 53.
