At the time of the June 10, 1905 Minnesota State Census, Frank was 22 years old and living with his parents and his sisters Alice and Ruth on E. 15th Ave., Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Both he and his father were working as teamsters [1905 Minnesota State Census, Minneapolis Ward 5, Roll MNSC_124, Line 13].

On April 26, 1910 at the time of the federal census, Frank D. was 26 years old and living with his parents and sister Ruth A. in Minneapolis, Hennepin county, MN. He was working as a surveyor for the Northern Pacific Railroad at the time [Source: 1910 Federal Census, N.A. Film No. 702, E.D. 92, Ward 5, p. 11B].
 
In the 1910 Minneapolis city directory, Frank boarded at 322 E. 15th Street with his parents and sister Ruth Ann, and worked as a surveyor. He was still living there as of March 1926 when his mother passed away.
 
On September 12, 1918, Frank was 33 years old, of medium height with slender build, brown hair and gray eyes. He and his wife Ruby were living at 1502 2nd Ave. S., Flat 5, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. He was working as an accountant for Great Northern Railroad [WWI Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918, Hennepin County, Minnesota; Roll: 1675616; Draft Board: 5].
 
At the time of the January 8, 1920 U.S. Federal Census, Frank was 35 years old and living with his wife Ruby E. and their six-year-old daughter, Alice R. in their rented apartment at 1502 2nd Ave. S., Apt. 403 in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Frank was working as an accountant for the railway. He said he was born in Minnesota, and both his parents were born in New York. He could speak English.
 
At the time of the April 10, 1930 census, Frank was 43 years old and living with his wife Ruby and their 17-year-old daughter Alice at 3649 Elliot Avenue in Minneapolis. For $37 a month they rented part of the home of Axel and Ellen Erickson, a couple from Sweden in their early 60s. The house was valued at $12,000 (approx. $120,000 in 2001 dollars). Neither the Stickneys nor the Ericksons owned a radio. Frank said he was married when he was 25 and Ruby was 22 years old. He stated that he was born in Minnesota and both of his parents were born in New York. Frank was working as an accountant for the railroad and his landlord Axel worked as an optician for an optical company.
 
Frank worked for the Great Northern Railway for 30 years, first as a surveyor and then as an accountant, last working in that occupation on January 23, 1939. [Source: MN Death Certificate No. 18600-607.]
 
Sometime between 1932 and Apr. 1, 1935 Frank and Ruby Stickney moved to 2600 10th Avenue S. in Minneapolis, MN and lived there until Frank's death from uremia at 11:25 AM February 7, 1939 at age 55.
