"Final rites were held Friday at St. Mary's Star of the Sea for
Floyd J. Dziuk, age 57, who had been found dead on the beach at South Point Tuesday
of last week.
"The Rev. Fr. Leo Gaffney officiated at Friday's services
with interment following in the Shrine Cemetery.
"Mr. Dziuk was born Dec. 4, 1913 in
Benton County, Minn., a son of Paul and Anna Kampa Dziuk.
Following his schooling there, he came to this state in the early 1930s.
"Following Army service during WWII he returned to this area and had spent
his time between here and Alaska. He worked as a construction camp cook.
"He was a member of the B. P. O. Elks Lodge and Culinary Union local
in Fairbanks and of the Sons of Norway in Poulsbo.
"Survivors include four brothers, Ray, Ben,
Alex and Tony, all in Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Latterel in
Minnesota and Mrs. Martha Imbriowski of San Bernardino, Calif."
