Notes:Floyd was born December 4, 1913 in Benton County, Minnesota.
Following his schooling there, he came to Washington state in the 1930s. After his Army service during WWII, he returned
to Washington and divided his time between there and Alaska, working as a construction camp cook.
Floyd was a member of the P.O. Elks Club, the Culinary Local in Fairbanks and Sons of Norway in
Poulsbo. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
He was last seen alive at noon on February 16, 1971. His body was found on the beach at South Point at 1:10 p.m. by
Milo Jacovich of Anchorage, Alaska. Floyd accidently had slipped on a log, hit his head, fallen into the
water and drowned. He was 57 years old.
