"Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic
Church, Duelm, for Clifford Balder, 77, who died Thursday at Foley Nursing Center.
Interment will be private.
"Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on
Monday at the church in Duelm.
"Clifford Balder was born in St. George
Township, Benton County, to George Balder and
Mary (Doyle) Balder. He married Mary Joyce Klimek June 4, 1966,
in St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He lived in the Foley area most of his life. He taught school in various places
in Minnesota for 34 years. He was the acting superintendent for Ogilvie High School and taught special education in Foley
until his retirement. He was a member and past Grand Knight of the Foley Knights of Columbus, Bishop Marty Council No. 3603.
He was a member and past trustee of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
"Survivors include his wife; son, Conan Doyle of Foley; brother
and sisters, Richard of Foley, Jeanette Kasner of Foley, Terese Weis of Clear Lake, and Kathleen Winkelman
of Foley."
