Notes: At the time of the June 21, 1900 U.S. Federal Census, Peter was 11 months old and living with his parents and 7 siblings on the family farm
  in St. George, Benton, Minnesota. His father was working as a farmer.
 
At the time of the May 5, 1910 U.S. Federal Census, Peter was 10 years old and living with his parents and 8 siblings on the family farm in Glendorado, Benton, Minnesota. Pete was working as a farm laborer on the home farm, as were his elder brothers Benny, John, Frank and Joe.
 
At the time of the Apr. 30, 1940 U.S. Federal Census, Peter was 40 years old and living with his wife Anna F. and their three small children, ranging in age from 4 years to less than a month old, on the family farm valued at $800 in Glendorado Township, Benton, Minnesota. Peter was working as a farmer and had done so for all 52 weeks of the previous year. He had a 5th grade education, and wife Anna had gone to school through the 8th grade.
