Notes: At the time of the June 21, 1900 U.S. Federal Census, Benedict was 4 years old and living with his parents and
  7 siblings on the family farm in St. George, Benton, Minnesota. His father was working as a farmer.
 
At the time of the May 5, 1910 U.S. Federal Census, Benny was 14 years old and living with his parents and 8 siblings on the family farm in Glendorado, Benton, Minnesota. His father was working as a farmer in general farming. Benny was working as a farm laborer on the home farm, as were his brothers Pete, John, Frank and Joe.
 
At the time of the Apr. 23, 1930 U.S. federal census, Bennie was 34  years old and living with wife Helen, their 2-1/2-year-old daughter, Edna, his parents, brother Peter, and Jake Bialka, a 24-year-old single Minnesota-born servant in Glendorado, Benton, Minnesota. Both Bennie and his father Frank were working as dairy farmers.

At the time of the Apr. 16, 1940 U.S. Federal census, Ben was 42 years old and living with his wife Helen M., their two children and his 82-year-old father, Frank W. Kampa, on the family farm in Glendorado Township, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a farmer as was his father. They all had been living in the same house as of April 1935. Ben worked 72 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. He told the census enumerator that he had completed the 4th grade and that his wife had an 8th grade education. His father had completed school through the 7th grade.

Ben died in Stearns County, Minnesota on July 23, 1960. He was 64 years old.
