Notes:Janice is the daughter of Jules Lebrun and Marie Pelletier of Langdon, ND. She was raised on a farm
near Langdon; the family moved to town when Janice was in the 3rd grade. Janice graduated from St.
Alphonsus High School in Langdon, ND in 1954. She received a B.A. degree in Sociology from the
College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN in 1958. After college she worked as a social worker in Fargo,
ND. After her marriage to Richard Joos in 1960, she was a homemaker and active volunteer in church,
school and civic organizations. She was a founding member of PRIDE-Omaha, Inc. and served as its
Director for several years in the 1980's.
Janice (Jan) continued to live in Bella Vista, AR after the death of Richard Joos. On November 27, 1998
she married Richard Kaylor, a retired police officer from Milwaukee, WI. They continue to live in Bella
Vista enjoying golfing, dancing and traveling.
