| Notes: |
At the time of the 1885 Minnesota state census, Annie was 3 months old and living with her
parents and eight siblings on the family farm in St. George, Benton County, MN. Her parents
stated that they were born in Germany as were their children Joseph, Mary and Paul; however,
all the other children (including Annie) were born in Minnesota.
At the time of the April 27, 1910 federal census, Anna was 25 years old and living with her husband Joseph, their three children, and her brother-in-law Albert on a farm in St. George Twp., Benton Co., MN. Both Joseph and Albert were working as farmers. Anna stated she was born in Minnesota of Polish German parents; she could read and write English. She and Joseph had been married for 6 years, and Anna was the mother of 3 children, all 3 of whom were still living. |

Duane Jabas reminisces on the above photograph: "One of the sets I sent entitled Mrs.'s Joe's holding the guns on the porch is Joe's Annie Popileck on the left and Joe Dezurick's Mary on the right. Grandpa Joe had a graphlex camera, bellows, wooden frame that sat on a tripod. The family would get real excited when he brought it out because it was a special occasion. They said that he had the camera for many years. I would not be surprised to find that he took some of these pictures." |
