Notes: Bess was 12 years old when her eldest brother Gilbert died in a freak gun accident.
 
The Stimmler family moved to a farm about seven miles outside Clear Lake in the spring of 1927.
 
Bess married Drury J. Bonderer at 9AM on May 6, 1929 at St. Marcus Church in Clear Lake, Sherburne, Minnesota. The Rev. Father Gaspodar officiated. The Maid of Honor was Bess's sister Frona Stimmler, and the Best Man was the groom's brother, Herbert Bonderer. Eight-year-old flower girl Ellen Stimmler was dressed in nile green organza and carrying a basket of tulips as she preceded the bridal party to the altar.
 
At the time of the Apr. 2, 1930 federal census, Bessie was 23 years old and living with her husband Drury Bonderer, their infant daughter Elizabeth (1 month old), and Bessie's younger sisters, Jewel and Ellen, on the family farm in Fairview, Livingston, Missouri. Drury was working as a farm manager in general farming.
 
At the time of the Apr. 23, 1940 U.S. federal census, Bess was 33 years old and living with her husband, Drury, and their five children between the ages of 10 and 1 years old on the farm they rented for $400/month in Utica City, Green, Missouri. Drury was working as a farmer on the rented farm for 60 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. Bess, Drury, and the three eldest children all had been liviung at a rural location in Livingston, Missouri as of Apr. 1, 1935.
