Tracy attained the grade of First Class Petty Officer, her grade at the time of her death. She was a mechanic qualified to repair jet, propeller, aviation and helicopter engines. She was stationed at PMRF Barking Sands in Hawaii. She received three good conduct medals, COMNVAIRPAC Battle Efficiency Award, Vice Admiral Robert Goldthwaite Award, Second Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Humanitarian Award. In her Navy career she was stationed at NAS Point Mugu, California, and Barbers Point and Barking Sands, Hawaii. Tracy never married. She remained on very good terms with the father of her children, Craig Anderson. Her children live with their father and step-mother in Norfolk, Virginia. Tracy was very well liked by those in, as well as out, of the service. She was very devoted to her children who were only 8 and 9 years old at the time of her death. Tracy was killed in a head-on car accident and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, Hawaii. |
