Notes: Roy was the youngest of ten children. He was a mechanic
and a member of the Latterell Bros. Orchestra in Foley.
At the time of the April 25, 1930 federal census, he was
45 years old and living with his wife Bertha and daughter
Lorraine in their own home in Foley Village. The value of
the house was listed as being $1,500 ($15,000 in 2001 currency)
and the family owned a radio. They lived next door to the
John F. Hall family. Roy stated that his father was born in
New York and his mother in Canada. He and Bertha were
married when he was 30 and she was 23 years old.
