"The community was saddened Monday in learning of the sudden death of
Mike Kampa. Mr. Kampa, long time resident of St. George township, passed away
at 4:45 p.m. Monday, October 2, victim of a heart attack, at his home in St. George township.
"Mr. Kampa had attained the age of 58 years, having been born September 28,
1881 in Sherburne county. He was married 32 years ago at Duelm and had farmed in St. George township all his life.
Mrs. Kampa died nine years ago.
"He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Anthony Tadych,
Alberta; Mrs. Henry Hoffman, St. George; Raymond, St. George;
Mrs. Clarence Dahler, St. Cloud; Mrs. Ed Wojciechowski, Oak Park; Eugene,
St. George; Mrs. Peter Woolhouse, Becker; and Bertha, Delores,
Lawrence and Michael at home.
"Brothers and sisters surviving are
Mrs. John Jurek, Palmer; Mrs. William Herbst, St. George;
Mrs. Felix Balder, St. George;
Mrs. Carol Walburn, Sauk Rapids, Mrs. George Cielinski, Bowlus; Joe, Bowlus;
Mrs. Henry Hanachitti, St. Paul; Mrs. Henry Marvin, Minneapolis;
Charles and John of Palmer and Tom of St. George.
"Funeral services were conducted this morning at 10:00 a.m. at
St. Lawrence Catholic church in Duelm with Rev. Frank J. First officiating.
Interment was made in the Duelm cemetery."
