MARY ANN SEBEK (née SAUER)'s
REMEMBRANCE OF LAKE JULIA AND FOLEY DAYS

"These are some of the times the 'Stimler Bunch' was at Lake Julia. Marge and I would spend the week with Grandma at the cottage and on weekends everyone would come out. I remember Joe and Merv and maybe Don Hall in their giddy moments would walk around the cottage with their hands on the ceiling rafters.
"How some strange man came to the door. John Parent went to the door and the guy asked John if he knew where Ed Sass was. John said something like, 'Maybe it's behind him.' Then there was the summer John and Merv (I think) caught a squirrel that was annoying everyone and John put turpentine on the squirrel's rear and that squirrel went up and down every tree around.
"Some of the remembrances from the house in Foley. Helen Hamer would want to spend the night and she was okay until about 2:00 a.m. and then Marie would have to walk her home (1/2 block) because she was lonesome. Remember, Helen? Marie always said that was the last time -- but it never was."
