"Mrs. Frank Balder
passed away at the St. Joseph's Home in St. Cloud Tuesday, March 26, 1974 at the age of
87 years. She was born in Minden Township on Sept. 1, 1886, the daughter of the late
John and Agnes Flanegin. She married Frank Balder
in St. Patrick's Church, Minden Township, on Sept. 1, 1914. The couple farmed in Minden
Township, Benton County, all of their lives.
"Mrs. Balder is survived by a sister,
Mrs. Mary Carey, Edmonds, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband in Oct. 13, 1964
and one sister.
"Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at St. Patrick's Church, Minden Township, with the Rev. David Rieder officiating.
Burial was in the parish cemetery.
"Pallbearers were Reuben Brambrink, Bernard
and Delbert Winkelman; John, David and James Balder.
"St. Patrick's parish said the parish prayers at the
funeral home at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 27.
"St. Patrick's Christian Mothers recited the
rosary at the funeral home at 4 p.m. on March 27.
