Kampa "Eugene 'Gene' Kampa, 62, Route 2, Winnebago
Addition, died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.
"Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine's
Catholic Church with the Rev. Germain Loeber OSB, officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
"Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dingmann-Veeser Funeral Home
in Sauk Rapids. St. Augustine's Christian Women will pray at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids
followed by St. Cloud Eagles at 7:30 and parish prayers at 8.
"Mr. Kampa was born May 8, 1916, in Duelm
to the late Michael and Josephine Kampa. He married
Mabel Djiuk at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Nov. 26, 1935. He has been a resident of the St. Cloud
area all his life and owned and operated Granit City Lifestock Sales in St. Cloud. He was a member of St. Francis
Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell, St. Cloud American Legion Post 76, Moose Lodge and the Eagles Club. He was a Navy
veteran of World War II.
"Survivors include his wife, sons and daughters, Richard W., Cold Spring;
James C. 'Tuffy', Sartell; Judy, Steven T. and Paul M., St. Cloud; Mrs. Ronald (Debra) Kuehl, Walnut Grove;
Brenda, at home; brothers and sisters Lawrence, Motley; Raymond, Winona; Mrs. Ed (Leona) Wojciechowski, Mrs. Emma Halfman
and Mrs. Ralph (Bertha) Barthelemy, Foley; Mrs. John (Judy) Zulkowsky,
Oak Park, Mrs. Clarence (Florence) Dahler, St. Cloud; Mrs. Peter (Rosy) Woolhouse, Becker; and six
grandchildren.
"He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
"Pallbearers will be Wayne Ediger, Harold Fluck, John Pike,
Ed Naumann, Ray Moore, Eddie Helmin.
"Memorials preferred to the Crippled Children's Foundation or to the Diabetes
Foundation."
