Virginia was born in Montana.
 
At the time of the January 13, 1920 U.S. Federal Census, Virginia was 7 years old and living with her parents and two siblings in a rental on Central Avenue in Fairview, Richland, Montana. She was attending school. Her father was working as an engineer on gas engine [Source: 1920 U.S. Census, Roll T625-974, p. 1A, E.D. 180].
 
At the time of the April 7, 1930 U.S. Federal Census, Virginia was 17 years old and living with her parents and five siblings in Melrose, Stearns, Minnesota. She was attending school and the family owned a radio. Her father was working as a foreman on the road [Source: 1930 U.S. Census, Roll: T626-1130; p. 6B; E. D. 37].
 
Virginia moved to California in the 1960s, and to Lodi, California in 1991. She was a homemaker for 58 years and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to Lake Tahoe. Both her husband and her brother John preceded her in death. She died on August 4, 1992 at a local convalescent hospital in San Joaquin, California following a short illness.
