| Virginia Mary Kruse, 82 of Hayward died August 4 in a local convalescent hospital following a
short illness.
She was born Virginia Mary Kaufmann on May 17, 1912 in Montana. Mrs. Kruse was raised in Motana and moved to California 30 years ago. She came to Lodi in 1991. She was a homemaker for 58 years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to Tahoe. Mrs. Kruse is survived by one son, Greg Kruse of Valley Springs; two brothers, Richard Kaufmann of San Leandro and Edward Kaufmann of Colorado; two sisters, Leona Redgrave of Hilmer and Agness Cripps of Hayward; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kruse and one brother John O. Kaufmann. There will be no services. There will be no viewing. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward is private.
