| in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Her parents had been living in the same place as of Apr. 1, 1935. Her mother told the enumerator that she had
completed her education through her third year of college and that her husband was a college graduate. Nancy's father Dewey was working 35 hours a week, 52 weeks a year as a radio promoter, and
did not have income from any other sources.
Nancy died during a tonsillitis operation on July 26, 1945 at the age of 6 years and 8 months. She is buried with her father in Section 5, Lot 195, Grave 6 at the Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota. Mark Winzenburg reminisces on Nancy Johnson: "[My uncle] Ed [Huppler] also said that Florentine and Dewey's daughter Nancy died from blood loss following a botched tonsillectomy performed by her GP." |
