"When I was in second grade we lived with Grandma and
Grandpa in that neat old three story house in Wayzata that
became a bank parking lot. . . . Cheryl and I are in the middle
with the dresses with the stripes on them. The other children
are the neighbor's children and I think it was a birthday
celebration." -- from an e-mail to Rae Bordua dated February 23, 2003". . .
Mom said the other men are grandmother's brothers. She thought both pictures were taken at a family reunion. The children with Cheryl and I are probably then grandchildren of grandmother's brothers." -- from an e-mail dated April 5, 2003 Cheryl Cotton (née Stimler) comments on the above photograph: "I'm not sure of the other three kids in the picture but the two in the matching dress are my sister Lynda and myself. It looks like the picture was taken outside of Grandma and Grandpa Stimler's house in Wayzata, MN before it was torn down. I look to be about 3 or 4 so this would be when we lived with them when our house was being built in Brooklyn Center, so that would be about 1954 or 55." -- from an email to Rae Bordua dated February 18, 2003 |
