Notes: At the time of the April 8, 1930 federal census, Louis was 12 years old and living with his parents and six siblings on their own farm in St. George Township.
The family did not own a radio. Louis was attending school at the time. Uncle Michael Kampa and his family lived on the farm next door.

At the time of the April 2, 1940 U.S. Federal Census, Louis H. was 22 years old and living with his parents and five younger siblings on the family farm valued at $900 located in St. George Township, Benton, Minnesota. He was working as a farmer on the family farm along with his father and his 16-year-old brother, Vernon J. His mother told the census taker that he had a 7th grade education. The whole family had been living in the same house back in April 1935. His father worked 66 hours a week.

After Louis and Mae married, they lived in Foley at 111 Broadway Avenue where he worked as a carpenter. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Foley American Legion Post.

Louis died at St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 73.
